Here's a question why Would Tesla create a Software which could Bankrupt the company if it was to Award new expensive Battery packs in a Generous Way 🤷 . I mean if there was a Massive Battery issue, would Tesla Halt their new car production to give away $20,000 batteries 🤷🤦 I doubt it🤔 . Their software will simply say " Nothing to see 🤑🤑🤑" or 88% state of Health 🙄

One of the most overlooked things in buying a Tesla is the delivery window. I had my test drive on June 5th of this year for the 2023/2024 model and I will be taking delivery on June 25th. My friend who ordered a Mercedes EQB will be waiting until december of this year.

So it appears this wont work with a gate. My neighborhood is gated and homelink works to open the gate and also my garage doors. MyQ requires the box or wifi enabled opener.

Model Y performance 22. So far I've got the original tires all the way up to about 34,000 mi. Right rear is starting to lose air slowly. Trying to see how long I can go without replacing it. No-ICE.

Yes the installation instructions are not great and there are several different versions to go with different versions of the cars and it’s not clear… That said I’ve installed two of them and they both have been flawless. It’s pretty obvious the problem with your strut was that the spring clip came off the top of the strut that retains it on the ball joint attached to the lid. I bet you could probably find it down the bottom there if you can get to it. Although it is technically a do it yourself project some of the fiddler things like routing the wires and locating the motor and the control unit are at least intermediate skill level I would say. The first one I got was EV offer and the second one was I think Hand show but they are clearly made in the same factory so my suspicion is that whatever brand you get it’s going to be the same Hardware. if you can find someone in the area that professionally you’ll be amazed how quickly they do it certainly less than an hour. And you’ll have much better chances of it lasting plus you have someone to call if things go wrong. I highly recommend powered to Tesla provided it installed by a knowledgeable person.

What I learned to get the health of battery information out of the tesla Software, do following: look at your range with 100% and decide through 100 multiplicate with the consumption given of your nominal value (car type model year specific) then you get the kwh battery value with degradation. My M3LR Fremont, 21, 82kwh Tesla: shows on 100% (550km / 100km)*13.6Wh/km = 74.8 kwh means 82kwh -74.8= 7.2kwh degradation is in percent 8,7%

I just bought a blue model Y and I'm headed from San Diego to Vegas in 20 days on our maiden long trip. I also have boys (4.5 and 3) and I'm seeing how much they're growing physically, but also intellectually and emotionally. I hope family is well, and your Y's battery is still healthy.

Cant help wondering if the reasons for your earlier failures were simply because you didn't comply with the instruction to *not* interact with the car while the test is running. Every time you check on the status etc (even via the App) you are "interacting" with the car.

There are actually quite a few cars that don't have home link. For instance my VW does not.

Total cost of ownership is what should be important when comparing vehicles. To do that you have to factor in lots of things besides the cost of refueling and maintenance. Probably the biggest factor that comes into play will be residual value. I think Tesla will sink close to the bottom when compared to any Toyota or Honda over the longer term. If electric vehicles work for you, leasing is probably a better option.

After watching this AND watching other videos we just changed our our order from a 7 seater to 5 seat. My son in law has a 7 seat and his 3 kids do not like it as gets too hot, no air and they feel trapped. He said that there was more second row leg room in 5 seater and that the seats will recline slightly. But for us, the idea of having a small kid there and getting rear ended is too scary. Thanks for a great review and the different size kids was perfect.

So - tells you to press the right turn signal "On" and press the brake pedal for 8 seconds, while indicating that he's pressing the drive stalk, not the turn signal stalk... Also fails dismally to mention that the car must be plugged in to at least a 6kW charger while the test is running... Makes me wonder if the guy actually has a Tesla...
